Last Saturday we posted our first challenge with the theme of Humorous Art. We had a wonderful time creating funny artwork and sharing it with friends and family. And even better, each participant was entered in a drawing for a free Fleur Heart Layers of Color clear stamp set! Today is the Big Day, a random name has been chosen! Giving everyone a HUGE THANK YOU! We had a great grand opening Saturday with seven participants and 369 visitors!! The challenge is still open for entries and will continue to stay open all week! Friday, April 25th we’ll randomly draw one participant from the hat to win the Layers of Color stamp set shown below! We are so excited to see your entry!

Layers of Color Challenge is a family friendly blog where you will be inspired and encouraged by a network of other like-minded stamp artists. Participation is easy, and a free, Layers of Color clear stamp set will be given away with each challenge! We post the challenge theme, you make the stamp art and share it on our blog with a link back to your artwork. Other artists visit and comment with their applause of your art! Make new art friends all over the world and be inspired by a huge variety of fresh stamp art!

We are His masterpieces! As artists, our souls are creatively painted works of art by God, Our Creator. It’s who we are and why we are. The colorful palette inside us can’t help but leak out of our minds and into objects of art fashioned by our hands. When we create, we are taking deep breaths of life. These outward expressions of our imaginations in our art bless others by encouraging, inspiring and reflecting God’s glory.

Our art is the gift we were given by God, multiplied in our hearts and donated to the world.

For our first challenge, I suggest that we add some Humorous Art to our lives! Let’s multiply the giggles in the world, make someone laugh out loud and smile all over! Use at least one stamp to create a card, book, jewelry, mixed media, painting, RAK, scrapbook page, 3″ x 5″ skinny, or any hand made creation. Then share with us how you gave from your heart with your works of art!
Today’s inspiration piece is a birthday card for my sister-in-law. To celebrate Saturday’s grand opening, my family also joined in the fun and made humorous altered art for the first time! Come get some giggles at my Artist’s Blog.
