Cherish

Cherish is the Word
Cherish is the word this week at Theme Thursday.

I created a 4 1/2″ X 6″ arch using a invitation I painted for my daughter’s wedding (the perfect pair/pear), a vintage photo, Layers of Color Heart stamp (available soon!), decorative scissors, chalk and dye inks and metal upholstery tacks. Cherish is a beautiful word!

Pink in the Springtime

Pink in the Springtime Skinny
Pink in the Springtime Skinny
This week’s theme at Theme Thursday is the color combination of pink and brown. I created a bird Skinny in celebration of springtime.

This is a shared mother and daughter blog, today’s art is created by Laura, the Mama.

My Skinny is based on cardboard and cardstock with embossed wallpaper. I’ve added bird and nest images cut-out from a Dover book, stamped with Layers of Color Architectural Block stamp, colored with markers, chalks, pencils, and embellished with an earring finding. Happy spring!

Paris in the Spring!

Paris Paper Fan
Paris Paper Fan
This week’s Theme Thursday - Paris! I was inspired with several ideas, so I chose to do two. Ooh la la!

A paper Parisian fan using copies of old tinted photos, pencil, inks, gel and silver leaf pens, Layers of Color Fleur Heart stamp, a piece of costume jewelry, and lots of doodles (no, not poodles, doodles ~ little hand drawings). It’s approximately 14″ tall.

Be sure to see my second creation in the next blog  below!

Paris!

Paris Plate
Paris Plate

I couldn’t resist using this old photograph in my second creation for the Paris challenge on Theme Thursday.

Isn’t she such a saucy dish? She looks like, “Too much is never enough!”…if only I knew how to say that in French! She’s so materialistic I thought she should be fashioned on a fancy plate with silk, beads, silver leaf and Layers of Color Fleur Heart stamp.

This week’s theme is “letters of the alphabet“. I chose the letter “W” for, the Word.

Rest on the Word, for the Word was God, and the Word is God.
