“For nothing is impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37
Hi, everyone! The verse that is showcased in my card today has been one that I’ve held onto dearly for the past year or so. You see, my little family and I have been in transition for the past year. God has called us to serve him overseas and it has been a great faith journey seeing that promise come into fruition, and we have yet to see it completely happen. We have had what some might call “setbacks,” and even the possibility of getting into our country looking bleak, but as believers we are called to believe that what he has called us to do and what He has promised will, indeed, come to fruition! You see, that verse says that nothing is impossible with God!
I listened to a teaching a little while ago that talked about what the journey looks like when God calls you somewhere or to be someone. The preacher said that in most cases, God calls and then there is a waiting period. Sometimes a very long waiting period. Usually, a waiting period where all sorts of things go through your head, including doubt. He gave the examples of Joseph and David in the Bible. How they were called to be mighty men of God and to do mighty things in God but both of them had to go through quite lengthy waiting periods, and even trials, before they saw God’s promises for them fulfilled. Now, I can’t say that we have endured anything quite like what Joseph and David went through, no crazy Kings out to get us or family throwing us into any pits, BUT we have had to trust God and give him total control over this entire process. You see, we can’t force anyone’s hand to give us visas. Neither do we have any influence to get the approval for my husband to be hired as a foreign worker. God has to do that. We have no control. We’ve waited and waited.
Yet, when we look back over this past year, we have seen God’s hand all over us! The first six months we were able to see God work in miraculous ways by providing the money to pay off our $21,000 college loan debt, we were able to meet with so many friends and family and build great relationships with our church staff, and most sweetly, we had the time to grow closer to God and build up our faith in him. These past six months, God gave us the opportunity to attend language school. We are now so much more equipped to go overseas than had if we had gone when we had first expected. We serve a faithful and mighty God! We are still in this “waiting” phase but we are full of faith and so expectant! We are looking forward to sharing what will for sure be an amazing testimony of how He gets us overseas.
Now I know many of you are not in the same situation as my family and I are in, but I would love to encourage you that nothing is impossible with God! He may have given you a promise or called you to something, or to be someone and you have yet to see it happen–take courage, He is a faithful God and there is nothing he cannot do! Be faithful during your waiting period and seek Him first. Grow closer to him during this period and watch him do amazing things in your life! Be blessed!

Mmm, a wonderful reminder. Thank you, Janice. This has ministered to my heart today.
I pray that all of you who visit here today are blessed with faith and expectancy of what our mighty God is going to do in your lives!
Go, and live boldly for Christ,

Gold metallic emboss stamping on black card stock with added rhinestones or nail bling.
Two stamp designs are stamped together with silver metallic embossing powder, then pearls with flat backs and colored Stickles glitter glue is mounded up to look like a precious jewel in the centers. Stickles by Ranger is the best glitter glue for mounding and they have a large range of colors. The newest colors in their designer series are soft romantic shades. I could totally see my Grandma wearing something like this. Imagine what a beautiful touch it would be on a card for your Grandmother!
Stamped with gold metallic embossing powder on ivory card stock with varied sized flat back pearls. I also chose to cut this one out, including in between the wings and placed it on foam tape to give it “flight”.
I LOVE copper! So this one is embossed with copper metallic embossing powder and cut out. The royal purple glitter glue is Stickles and the amber jewels are stick-on rhinestones.

This remembrance ribbon stamp can be stamped with pink ink, as it is here, or yellow for remembering our American troops. This example has flat rhinestone stickers.
If you’re fresh out of gemstones, or you want a very specific color to match your project, then here’s an idea for creating treaures like this bee-jeweled ornament…Color in the jewel areas with colored marker or pencil and cover each spot with Glossy Accents. You can try other dimensional glues, but I found that this one is not runny and mounds just like a jewel would. The tri-jewels are stamped with black ink and accented with copper Stickles glitter glue.
For fun and really dazzling effects, try stamping all over with metallic ink, like Brilliance, and coloring in the spots with multiple colors of Stickles glitter glue. Stamp them in a row, or all around a curved edge for a necklace look!
