<p>Obvious beauty is inspiring but, so is the ordinary, like colors in shadows. The white Poodle with it&#8217;s golden shadows might inspire an artist to&#8230;paint a dog!<a href="http://www.layersofcolor.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/076.jpg" rel="lightbox[188]" title="Skinny and ATC Separated "><img src="http://www.layersofcolor.com/wp-content/plugins/framepics/cache/3474338a8d12a2ffa7f2a323dedbf0ea.jpg" class="imageframe" alt="Skinny and ATC Separated " align="right" border="4" width="484" /></a><a href="http://www.layersofcolor.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/inspire-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[188]" title="Artist Trading Card"><img src="http://www.layersofcolor.com/wp-content/plugins/framepics/cache/4495afc3a0030a4d03c174a46e940193.jpg" class="imageframe" alt="Artist Trading Card" align="right" border="4" width="253" /></a></p>

<p>The theme is based on this old verse:</p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Monday&#8217;s child is fair of face,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Tuesday&#8217;s child is full of grace,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Wednesday&#8217;s child is full of woe,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Thursday&#8217;s child has far to go,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Friday&#8217;s child is loving and giving,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>Saturday&#8217;s child works hard for his living,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>And the child that is born on the Sabbath day,</strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong>is bonny and blithe and good and gay.</strong></em></p>
<p>Naturally the first question we all have is:<br />
&#8220;<em>What day am I?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Woe is me&#8230; I end up being Wednesday! LOL! But, that gave me an idea. I altered an old bottle, labeled it with my skinny, embellished it, and filled it with strips of black paper on which I wrote my woes in white. My bottle is full of woe, so I don&#8217;t have to be!</p>
<p>Some details: It has a broken &#8220;seal&#8221; made of paper ribbon. The top of the cork is decorated with a replica of a French coin. The bottle neck is embellished with grosgrain ribbon, metal trim and a vintage rose button. I like that the child is emotionally distressed and the image is physically distressed. It&#8217;s from an old soap trade card and the frame is from a Dover image book. Fabric trims and glass rocks complete this art piece.</p>
