Love Card, Mixed Media Monday

This was a blast! Thank you Mixed Media Monday gals for the inspiration. Today’s theme, if you did not guess already, is playing cards. I used our fabulous Layers of Color Architectural Blocks, Flower Child and Gothic Crosses sets. While the stamp ink was still wet I sprinkled sparkles to add some glam. Thank you for looking have a blessed week!

Mixed Media Monday & Layers of Color Challenge

This is so exciting! We have a challenge blog of our own, Layers of Color Challenge. A new theme will be posted each first and third Saturday of every month and continue for one week. So please join with us in sharing our “Works of Heart”. We would love to see your humorous contribution, and keep in mind there is a FREE Layers of Color stamp set up for grabs to one lucky artist.
Hats and Humor Altered Page
Hats and Humor Altered Page

Mixed Media Mondays theme was hats and our Layers of color theme was humor. With this fun combination I created an altered page in my soon-to-be Mother’s Day altered book (Mama, this is just a sneak peak). I used the Layers of Color Beaded Frames stamps to add more movement and fun to my pages.

Paris, Mixed Media Monday

Ooh La La! Today’s Mixed Media Monday theme is Paris. I decided to make a bookmark because I have started three books at once (what was I thinking?). I love them each so much I can’t put the others down long enough to finish one, so my Paris book mark is getting tons of use.

I used a few of our new stamps (coming soon) both circling the couple and as diamonds lining the bottom.

P.S. Sunday was Laura’s (mama of myself and Layers of Color) Birthday. Happy Birthday Mama, I love you!

Oriental, 4×4 Friday

I loved this challenge because I have recently had a great fascination with oriental design and colors. They are so beautiful and peaceful. I used mulberry paper to frame the Geisha and the tree.

The Heart Tree stamp is from our new Layers of Color, Flower Child set (coming soon). Even though it is in a baby set it also works well as a blossom tree. Remember to not be afraid to step out of the box. Just because as item has a certain title or is in a certain section of the craft store does not mean it has to be used for that.

Have a beautiful blossoming Friday!

Kings & Queens, 4×4 Friday

Welcome to my fellow Kings and Queens. Here is my royal 4×4. I could not resist
Queens
Queens
these King and Queen antique playing cards. And the thought of Kings and Queens brought to mind elaborate crowns, so over the antique Kings and Queens I created two crowns using the Layers of Color Fleur heart stamp.
