This 4″ X 7 1/2″ birdhouse is made from a recycled cereal box covered with stamped paper. All stamps are Layers of Color. All inks are Tsukiineko, VersaFine Deep Lagoon and VersaColor Topaz. Prismacolor pencils are used to color in the flower base.
Representing the “door” to the birdhouse is a Polka Dot Love flower stamped on the house and then again on cardstock and cut out and bent to form a 3-D flower. Royal Birds art stamps are the focal point and cover the background. Beaded Frames art stamp creates the decorative circle.
The bird stamp on the left is from the Dotted Delights clear art stamp set, the center bird and background is Royal Birds. Decorating the roof and the flourish bird on the right are from Birdday Party clear art stamp set. The birds are perched on Fleur Heart stamps and Garden Borders is the base. Wire and beads complete the details.
Hope you were inspired to create a birdhouse today!
Hello Laura – this is amazing!! I want to know what cereal you have to get a box that shape – ours are not as good as that – now I am going to have to go hunting for a new cereal! This is amazing – I love the way you have used all of those stamps – they are perfect!! The Tsukiineko colours work so well with the LOC images and with that paper birdhouse – gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing – it is always a pleasure to see your work and I always come away with lots of ideas!! {{{hugs}}}
Laura, you have done it again! I am always inspired by what you come up with! This would be beautiful as a part of a center piece or flower arrangement of some kind. I love the way you used all the different LOC bird stamps- just lovely! Heather
