Valentine For My Love

This is another Valentine for My Love, although it could also be an inspiration for a scrapbook layout.

The flowers and flourishes are from the wonderful clear art stamp set from Layers of Color, Nature Walk. The bird is from the Dotted Delights clear art stamp set. The words are hand written.

I stamped the bird and flourishes in black ink on an elementary school handwriting practice sheet. The flowers and leaves are stamped with brown ink, cut out, pinched for a 3-D effect, and glued over the flourishes. I also used a black marker on the flower centers to create unity with the rest of the design.

The heart is cut out of red paper, edged with black marker and glued under a cut out section of the bird’s beak. The oval frame is cut out of striped paper and filled in with white paper.

True Love Valentine

Sometimes one word says it all. “Love” is one of those words, simply put with deep and complex meaning.

This card is simply made with Layers of Color Royal Birds clear art stamp set on printed paper. The main bird is stamped again on white paper, cut out and glued only at the body so that the wings stand out away from the card. It’s accented with a soft velvet ribbon, and a strong statement of love on a metal tag. Notice the birds faintly stamped on the polka dot paper, like a sweet whisper. A word can be heard loud and strong, even when it’s spoken softly.

More love tomorrow!

For My Valentine

A special Valentine for my Sweetheart symbolizing my heart soaring with love. The circular design symbolizes our love continuing forever.

The bird is from our delightful Layers of Color Birdday Party clear art stamp set.

Red crepe paper is pleated and sewn then glued underneath the cardstock circle. The book pages are fan folded then glued in a circle on top of the printed, stamped and decorative edge cut large circle. Accents of glitter and central rhinestone creates lovely sparkle.

More love on Monday!
