The theme over at Wednesday Stamper is Summer Tea Party. I dove right in and splashed joyfully, celebrating the colors of summer, the flavors and aromas of delightful teas, and scripted a letter of praise to the hostess for an excellent party! Thank you, I had a marvelous time!

Dans ma maison, il y a…un ange (Challenge theme for “In my house, there is…” an angel)

Hanging from the eves of my house is a bird feeder that keeps the birds so happy that they come with their entire families to visit. And as if saying, “merci”, they perch in the nearby trees and sing from their hearts. The songs are so beautiful they bring sunshine to a cloudy day. Even the angels pause to listen, as it gives Glory to God!

Stamps used in this artwork are Layers of Color Gothic Crosses and Fleur Heart art stamps.

This summer has been busy with the new online art stamp company, family, yard work, challenge blog, and projects. I’m on the finishing end of redecorating my youngest daughter’s room this month. She’s moving on to junior high in the Fall and desired a look in her room that was less little girl as she transitions into womanhood in the next few years. She still loves pink and so we added warm rose tones, warm golden faux finished walls, antiqued painted and distressed furniture and a sophisticated floral to the bed. Accents include teal Toile, hat boxes, crackle finish ceramic birds, silk-covered display board, a wire umbrella, beaded fringe on the lampshade, and a flower-like hanging lamp over the bed, among other lovlies. The armoire is still in progress, as is the bedspread and few small projects. But I’m out of time since August is filled with family time. So here’s a gallery of photos to share with you with some of the artwork I’ve been working on this summer. I hope it inspires you!

Sharing some vintage bird ATC’s I made for a swap recently…

I used watercolor colors, Layers of Color Fleur Heart and Renaissance Hearts art stamp sets, velvet rickrack, Dover clip-art, peach-colored 3-D dots and Silver Leaf pen on the edges.
This was made with watercolors, lace, stitching, Dover clip-art, music paper, clear dot, and cardstock cutout heart embossed with Layers of Color Renaissance Hearts art stamp set.
To create this ATC, I used watercolors, Layers of Color Renaissance Hearts art stamp embossed in old gold, Dover clip-art bird, gold leafing pen, and a cardboard buckle covered with a page of gospel music.
When making this ATC, I used acrylic paint, stamp inks for distressing, gel pen, Dover clip-art, lace, a metal brad, paper flowers, and Layers of Color Beaded Frames art stamp set.
To make this ATC, I used watercolors, Dover clip-art, sheet music, flower punch, embossed photo corner, brown ink, and Layers of Color Fleur Heart and Renaissance Hearts art stamp sets.
