Sherre Hulbert, Layers of Color Designer

Sherre has always enjoyed making a variety of crafts. In the late 90s, she began to take art classes at the local junior college. A search into her genealogy and the making of a heritage scrapbook led her to entering a page to Somerset Studio magazine. The page was published, and Sherre hasn’t looked back since. She has also been published in Somerset’s Gallery IV, and some independent online ‘zines.

Just this fall she co-authored her first published book, Exploring the Latest Trends in Mixed Media Art (available through Amazon and CreateSpace.com.) She is currently working on Volume 2 of the Latest Trend books, and also on a jewelry book. Volume 2 will be published in fall of ‘09.

Sherre loves painting and has won awards in two art shows. She also enjoys photography, digital art, gardening, quilting and reading. Sherre is the creator of the Magazine Scrunchy Technique which was featured in the Technique Junkies newsletter. A love of color led her to teach online workshops on color theory. Online art groups are another inspiring source for Sherre’s art. She is the owner of Arttechniques and ArttechniquesATCs, and also helps moderate The Latest Trends in Mixed Media Art group.

Sherre has been on the ZNE design team and is enjoying being a part of the Layers of Color design team where she can incorporate her faith into her art. You can see some of Sherre’s other art and photos on her blog and her new Web site, www.sherresartzone.com.
