I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for 13 years and together we have 2 daughters, Carly (11), and Madalyn (9). We also have 2 bunnies, 2 cats, and a dog. We live in the “high desert” of Central Oregon, just outside of town in the country a bit… in fact right next door to a cattle and horse ranch. I love the area and love to go for early morning walks when the weather is nice. We have mountains surrounding us and 2 lakes, both within 15 minutes.
I work as a part-time church secretary in the mornings, which leaves me free in the afternoons to craft a bit before picking up my girls from school. I inherited my love for crafts from my mother, especially the stamping part! But I also love to knit, crochet, make beaded collector ornaments, scrapbook family photos, and decorate party cakes. I also love to sing and have been on a music worship team at church for years. I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and seek to glorify Him in all that I do, whether it’s art, singing, caring for my family, or whatever. Nothing positive in my life would be possible without Him.
Stamping was introduced to me about 5 years ago. I started my stamping blog in 2006 and have made such wonderful stamping friends these last few years. I’ve learned so much since this invention of blogging, especially in joining challenges. I give the biggest credits for my growth as a stamp artist over these last few years to the Lord (as He gives each of us a talent and passion), and also to the card challenges out there that help me think out of my box and really open myself to new and exciting things. In Jan. 2009 I was asked to join my first Design Team, which led to other Design jobs as well. I am so honored that Laura saw something in my creative work and asked me to join her team here at Layers of Color! I look forward to being part of this Faith-centered company, and learn so much for my teammates and sisters in Christ. Thank you for this awesome opportunity!
